With Cuba having trouble even producing coconuts, the DR should press their current advantages. Eco-Tourism, as Costa Rica has demonstrated is one of the more promising avenues open for DR's development. I hope they don't drop the ball.

This is the very sort of thing that should assist the tourist trade and I hope all the brochures are as attractive as the picture shown here ..I hope that no prospective tourist is not discouraged after reading some of the postings here.
In some countries they have one person ,who is either very well known abroad or very beautiful or very handsome to be the official tourist face in all the promotions ..with such a large choice here, maybe we could do the same .

Headline should read:

Bunch of freeloaders off to Spain at the public's expense.

Josean,
You never post anything construictive even if it's a possitive report. I know your favorite political party is not in power, now I hope you keep your same login name when PRD comes to power sometime in the future.
You sound so political fanatics and biased, as demonstrated here many times, you are blind to national facts, achievements and success...Hope you can walk your talk when your boys get to power.

perlurdom,

You’re quite wrong about my political choice for 2012, but you have spoken like a true thrown in the towel LIE-onelita!

And rest assured as long as biology or an unforeseen mishap doesn’t do me in, I will be here to Praise the Worthy, Chastise the Unworthy and Expose the Charlatans, with the same Nome de Guerre!

Yes ,,this is a nice and interesting job going to the tourism trade fairs but someone has to do it and I can imagine all the criticism if the DR was not represented at them ..so hardly a case of free loading but more like having a nice job . Or maybe the duo here would prefer a drop off tourism because of no promotion ..seems a case of sour grapes again .

Doing a necessary job, such as appearing at a tourism fair probably, at the most, requires 5 or 6 people. I would be willing to bet that between 50-100 FREELOADERS will go.

You may be one of the last LIE-onelitas, at least a public one, left!

A Guinness Book ranking may be in your future!

Here's some good news for Josean:

Santo Domingo.- Certificaciones.
