NEW YORK.- A famous Dominican impresario on Wednesday denied having ever used the name of any Government official in relation to the embattled reconstruction project of the Hotel Montaña in Jarabacoa’s mountains or on in any other topic.
Felix Cabrera, who this year received various recognitions for promoting Dominican talent abroad and was voted Businessperson of the Year, said Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garcia was apparently surprised and confused by misinformation.
He said he has never had to use anybody’s name even it it’s a political figure and that he has excellent relations with Garcia for several years.
“I believe the deception is part of the strategy which some in Dominican Republic maintain to discredit me. I don’t know for what reasons,” he said, but didn’t identify anybody.
