The caravans of idiots and criminals has begun. Exactly what do they accomplish? Other than wasting money funneled to them by the JCE. What a waste. I went to visit someone today at J. Maria Cabral Hospitial and I couldn't help thinking how much more wisely that money could have been spent.
I remember in 2000 I was living in Moca and I was invited on a caravan for the PRSC. Out of curiousity I went. The next week I was invited on a caravan for the PLD. Out of curiousity, I went again. It was an amazing experience. Both caravans went through the same towns and campos. When the PRSC went through every building was red and all the houses along the way were bedecked in red, with most people wearing something red (tee shirts, hats, etc.) The next week the same people had on their best purple finery. They were just as sincere as the politicians passing, and they wanted the same things. They all wanted a piece of the money out there waiting to be stolen.
