Santo Domingo. - The adequate handling of the urban center’s waste water prior to reaching the city’s south coast will change the zone’s panorama, while the infrastructure required to improve services will guarantee environmental quality.

The capital’s City Council has resumed a project begun in 2007 to recover zone, at a cost of RD$350 million with which it plans to intervene part 83,000 square meters along the city’s coast in the next few years, from the obelisks to Haina and Costa Verde, and convert it into a model area.

In fact the major interventions will be those which aren’t seen, said Santo Domingo Strategic Plan coordinator Patricia Cuevas.

The City Council official said the Plan includes a waste water handling program along the south coast, in coordination with the Aqueducts Agency (CAASD), the Transport Reform Office (Opret) and will implement a storm runoff and sewage drainage system with adequate treatment.

Interviewed by listin.com.do, Cuevas said the Plan, whose feasibility studies have been concluded, includes pipes along the south coast towards treatment plants located on the shore.

Another “unseen” benefit will be the implementation of alternate routes for trucks and the regulation of schedules, “because now we have the problem that everything takes place at the same time in the city. All hours are rush hours. The children leave the school, the trucks deliver their merchandise and the tractor trailers travel at all hours,” Cuevas said.

"You are the man LF press on regardless !" Don't really have anything agains LF, BUT

He apparently acts like the President of Santo Domingo rather then the president of the DR. although really in his heart he really prefers to be a "Regional Leader" with everyone kissing his butt. Like you, "You Da Man Leo"

Instead of spending his most productive time on the whole of the Dominican Republic, he has rather concentrated all of his efforts, energy, time and economic resources in the Capital City alone and has ignored or forgotten the rest of the Dominican Republic. Cibaeños should separate through a secession and become an autonomous region. Enough is Enough already!!!

CarlosFranco-

Interesting wording..............This might or might not be a freudian slip, but notice how you say that by "kicking the Haitians out of the country....." is "..the best MAKE UP the Capital can ever receive..."

Interpreted as what is good for the country will ONLY be good for the capital of Santo Domingo?

I know you really mean that getting rid of the Haitians is the best MAKE UP Sto Dgo and the rest of the DR can ever receive. "What's good for the gander is good for the geese." to mean that what is good for one or group of people is also good for the others as well.
