I wouldn't say anything about Saint Rainieri since Banistan is not here to defend him; Yet!

Josean:
Banistan has hit the dust once more. In his next reincarnation you should modify his nickname to
Banistan The Great, holding both the record for most bannings, and most numerous posts.LOL.
PS I heard that he has taken the latest banishment lightly, and has shrugged it off like a good soldier.

Professor,

For the life of me I still can't understand why the guy I love to hate was banned!

Josean:
As far as I could ascertain there was a clone of him created by a suspect troll with an IP locator of an address in the NA, that was causing havoc, and Banistan who had been very ill and unable to post himself, was not aware of this. (This is straight from the horses mouth).
I am speculating that because of his past record and previous mischief, the judgement imposed was
that he was the only culprit, and the ax severed his head.

Well first of all I wish him a speedy recovery and 100 more years of life, so I can continue to whip him for at least another 90!

I also wish his privilege would be resorted as soon as possible, especially if he was a victim of identity fraud!

That is out of my hands, but maybe the executors are reading this and will investigate further, and reinstate him.
Anyway, and back to the topic, Frank Rainieri deserves all the awards the tourism industry can muster and a few more, as an example of hard work, diligence and fair entrepreneurship.

Editor,

As a member in good standing of DT community, I hereby respectfully request consideration for reinstatement of fellow member Blutarsky.

While no contributor to this great forum for absent Dominicans is immune from having adversaries, and Blutarsky clearly had several, I am sure many here miss his contributions to daily stories and would clamor for his reinstatement as well. Besides, Blutarsky, along with a few notable others, is considered DT royalty!

I urge careful consideration of circumstances and full restoration of his privileges as community member.

As an aside, I wonder if it would be a good idea to add a page containing banned individuals, where the community could perhaps vote or sign petition to have an individual reinstated, which could be taken into consideration by DT as final arbiter.

I thank you in advance for considering this request.

This is a great honor for pioneering individuals who have worked very hard to put DR on tourism map and make it a very desired destination.

Congratulations to the Rainieri family on this achievement.

I am recovering from 2 weeks of the flu .....it was miserable ...thank you for your kind thoughts

not to marginalise the flu, but it could have been a lot worse. at your advanced age, when we hear of illness, we think of more dire possibilities. keep on just getting the flu. stay away from dengue, though.

What a real paradise our island would have been if 80% of our man were like Mr. Rainieri?

Oh, Well - last name sounds Italian/European

No wonder...

That's exactly what I meant!!!

Mr. Rainieri is too smart to be 100% Dominican...that's all I meant!!

Yes, I'm insulting my own intelligence as a Dominican

If not, look at what our country has turned into...a pool of corrupts, criminals, prostittues, dirty politicians, and what no?

Only the NON-DOMINICAN can see the real deal, everybody else is so lost as always...

Arguing about Hipolito, Leonel y el Metro, etc, etc, etc.

That's all....a simple comment!!

well, 25 years or more, there was nothing in Punta Cana area, except small "Corte de madera" of Mr. Cedeño, that's why exists "El Cortecito" now.
First building was Las Piratas, still standing (brown building in Los Corales) while only access road to first hotels was sand road on the beach between palm trees.
Do you have idea how many jobs created Mr. Rainieri directly or indirectlly, according to 100K population with 7% growing?
This is Lifetime Achievement, very few people can do it.
