Smoking on planes was a fundamental right of freedom but fascists have put an end to it.
Expect for one or two airlines.
But DR wants to promote its cigars - and I'm sure the Russians of the older generation I meet would love smoking flights.
When I flew Aeroflot smoking was allowed on longer flights including cigars. Those indulging did often bring out a bottle of vodka or whiskey and offer it round.

It would be a far greater service to humanity if SUV's and other dirty big cars were stopped since I object to inhaling the fumes. Cigar smoke is not often inhaled so second hand smoke is often preferable to second-hand cigarette smoke. Cigars also tend to be an occasion not an exercise in chain smoking.

I meet quite a few of Russians here in Sosua in my Agency via their house hunt. Each and every one is criminal with waiting jail term back in Russia for murder, financial crimes, tax evasion/fraud, bank carruption etc. This country is the Heaven and destination of choice for Russian criminals being the only one in the World that welcoms them and happily allows their money laundering.
Each and every, no exception.

They are good for RE prices, paying stupidly through the roof. But no one in his/her right mind would want to live next to them period.

For Sosua the current criminal Russian infestation is a capital sentence.

A normal household income in Russia is about $200-$400 a month for the non-criminal majority of the population. For them to arrive to Sosua with a $ mil.US is not an option even in the wild dreams.

The Russians are absolutely ruthless, at least the ones involved in crime. I don't want to generalize, as I have several dear friends and colleagues of Russian nationality who are upstanding citizens and wonderful people. However, there are some, particularly at the gym where I exercise, who really make you consider carrying a loaded gun with you at all times. They don't give a s... about anybody, and would not hesitate to intimidate you or dispose of you at any time. These people are fear-inspiring and definitely seem involved in crime...they are scum!! Everyone dislikes them.

With my due respect to all members of the debate I`d add (having almost 12 years experience of dealing with Russian people) : Such word combination as "honest Russian" does exist (and is true to the vast majority of the good hard working Russian population). The only problem is that you will never meet them in Sosua as they are poor and cannot afford to travel.

Also does exist another word combination " Russian businessman", that is true. But what does NOT exist - is a word combination "HONEST Russian businessman". Just does not exist in nature.
