Let's hope all goes well and the tourist enjoy their stay. This will only help DR and Haiti down the road. Attracting Cruise business will help diversify the tourist portfolio in DR.

Samana still learning how to serve the cruise crowd, not enough facilities other than the ones controlled by the Pineiros

u guys dont know this but royal caribbean is owned by a haitian family.

the ships used to sail to puerto plata the cruise companys put a stop on going to pop in around 1970's i have been told many people begging the tourists for money when they got off the ship.
not much for the tourists to do in pop maybe go to pizza hut, fun city,
central park the gift shops where every shop sells the same things.
if anyone knows of anything else they can do please let me know.
last time i looked the beaches are very very, dirty in pop....
