SANTO DOMINGO.- Dominican Republic’s Hotels and Restaurants Association (Asonahores) concluded its 14th Commercial Exhibit 2010, which also served to end Haydée Kuret’s term as president of the organization.
The business leader said the government should understand that the tourism is a long term investment, for which it also needs to implement policies and long term regulations.
More than 80 exhibitors participated in the activity held in the hotel Dominican Fiesta, and dedicated to the Dominican Telephone Company (Codetel).
The event included a cocktail for guests and attended by the tourism industry’s main personalities, including the new Asonahores president Julio Llibre, the executive vice president Arturo Villanueva and Tourism minister Francisco Javier Garcia.
