Santo Domingo- American Airlines, founding partner of the Oneworld® alliance faithful to its tradition to recognize the results of its most important commercial partners, awarded the travel agencies that reached the highest levels of commitment to excellence, production and sales in 2010.

The Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, the chain’s biggest, served as the backdrop for the award ceremony held during an entire weekend, when representatives of the winning agencies enjoyed the amenities of the resort, one of the country’s most luxurious.

In the paradisiacal setting the agents enjoyed a deserved rest and shared pleasant moments with American Airlines executives, a bond which more than commercial goals, forges strong friendships and camaraderie.

The agencies awarded were Trips Alkasa, Turinter, Travelwise, Services Travel, Taveras Agency, Rosedy Tours, Milena Tours, Tary's Travel, Eurostar and the branch Viajes Alkasa.

Oliver Bojos, director for Dominican Republic, said the activity to bestow the awards on the travel agents is a recognition to their work, dedication and their impressive levels of production, contributing to the development of the companies that form the national and international tourism sector and the country in general.

The event’s main goal was to hail its commercial partners, the travel agents, who through the work instruments provided by American Airlines reached excellence indices and the highest volume in sales of different products and destinations.

In its fifth consecutive year the prizes have become a tradition for American Airlines, which awards the country’s best travel agencies whose representatives expressed their gratitude for the recognitions and their great satisfaction for working with the carriers’ tools and support.
