Santo Domingo.- Dozens of people are converging Tuesday morning at the entrance to the area being mined at Loma Miranda, to protest against its exploitation by the Canada based Xstrata Nickel Falcondo.
The protesters entered Loma Miranda carrying pickets calling for the protection of the mountain’s natural resources, for which the radical priest Rogelio Cruz officiated a mass earlier in the morning, when he called president Danilo Medina “irresponsible.”
The prelate, quoted by hoy.com.do, said any attempt to exploit Loma Miranda will be confronted by a group of 1,000 men and 1,000 women he vows to form, to take over the mountain and inhabit it.

Learn from and pay respects to priest Rogelio Cruz.
Rogelio created awareness on the farmers around Loma Miranda of what would be the consequences of Xstrata starting mining/processing there.
Thank you priest Rogelio Cruz, if DR was filled with Dominicans like you, DR --and the planet-- would be a better place.
What an amazing, self-absorbed, Douche.
He wants to lead people in the looting of private property. He wants to protect natural "resources" while it apparently doesn't even know the definition of the word "resources"
Billions of people around the world suffer because they pay attention to scum like this

Is it private property?
I didn't read anywhere him calling for anyone to loot.. could you point it out for us?
Maybe Dr AC you need to expand your understanding of Resources to more than just things you make money from?
