Santo Domingo.- Reef Check Foundation Dominican Republic hosted its  sixth annual "Rhythm of the Reef" at the Disco Praia, where its president Ruben Torres delivered the welcoming words to start the party.

He said he’s grateful for the support for the environmental organization, and urged more involvement in the Foundation’s conservation initiatives through its "Membership Program."

Torres also announced the Lion Fish Control Program and the "Adopt a Coral," which is currently being implemented.

The fundraiser, which will help  expand membership to continue its work to protect and restore coastal and marine resources nationwide, was held to the beat of music by Nine Circus, DJ Mariella and DJ AG, in a night full of surprises and raffles.

Great program! Let's get rid of the lion fish, they are dangerous to our biodiversity and are pretty scary looking creatures.
