La Romana, DR.– La Romana cruise port has received five awards by renowned Cruise Insight magazine, including most efficient operation, best port facilities, most efficient port services, best port in load and unload of cargo and best cruise ship destination port.

The awards were presented during the Cruise Shipping Miami Conference that took place at the Miami Beach Convention Center last month, where Andres Fernandez, La Romana port general manager, received the awards.

Several personalities from the Dominican cruise industry and tourism institutions attended the event.

My wife and I see these cruise ships on many days in the La Romana.
We laugh out loud about the look on some of the passengers faces when they are led by "guides" to the central square.

The port of La Romana better than Positano, St. Barts or Miami?

Will the cruise ships return next season?
