Hay guys it starts Sept. 21st and runs threw the 24th. This festivel is growing every year and this year its going to be bigger and better than last.

If you need a place to stay look it up on Google Maps. Hotel California is a nice place to stay and the rates are good. Jarabacoa River Club is a ripoff rates are out the roof and the rooms are tiny.

Anyone needs more information just PM me and I will do what I can to help you out.

Jarabacoa should team up with Constanza and together celebrate something similar to what is done in Medellin, Colombia with the Festival of the Flowers (Feria de las Flores).

It is the most important social event for the city. There is music, food, beauty pageant, parade of antique cars, Paso Fino horses and many other special events. If done correctly, It will bring life to these two isolated mountain towns and put them on the map, certainly help further boost the region's economy. But it must be done right, with class, in a well planned, highly organized manner and not haphazardly prevent a bunch archaic street vendors to run around creating a street sore. This will be their opportunity to shine and should definitely take advantage of the chance.

@ guiller

Nice thought but It will never happen. Tooo much greed inbetween the two City Governments. Like oil and water.

Plus the new road is real nice BUT VERY DANGEROUS! Just think of the drunks going from point A to B.

I think its great the way it is now because we each go support the sister city. Just my thought. Cheers

Agreed the new road is excellent, but inevitably being spoiled by the shanties of feral peasant squatters springing up along the way.
