Santo Domingo.- Dominican Tourism Press Association (Adompretur) president Osvaldo Soriano on Tuesday announced the guild’s first affiliate in United States, aimed at bolstering the institutional growth of the country’s tourism press abroad.
He said the new subsidiary, based in Miami, Florida, will be inaugurated on Saturday a ceremony that will be attended by journalists, authorities and personalities of the Dominican tourism sector in United States.
Adompretur’s new team is formed by Yaniris Felipe, Arelis Peña Brito, Dania Santana, Danny Tirado, Milquella Araujo, Ottoniel Mañon-Rossi, Matty Frias and Raisa Rivas.
"This new branch, Adompretur’s first overseas, has transcendental importance for the integration of Dominican journalists based in the United States and to promote Dominican Republic as a tourism destination in its main emitter market," Soriano said.
In addition to Soriano, guild executives Karina López, Lady Reyes and Zonia Tejada form the commission that will attend the agency’s ribbon-cutting.
