Santo Domingo.- Environment minster Bautista Rojas on Wednesday said the more than 80 beaches, rivers and spas throughout the country will be cleaned to benefit vacationers on Easter week.

He said the 32 provincial offices were instructed to assign more technicians, supervisors and crews to ensuring that those natural spaces are in top condition for local and foreign visitors to enjoy.

Rojas added that the work will focus on securing the highest possible safety.

So screw the tourist and locals for the rest of the year.

I'm sure they will be doing a big clean up job after the garbage flinging festival long weekend. Maybe they will wait till next year to clean up this years mess...
