New Punta Cana US$100M+ hotel to open mid 2016,

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina on Wednesday headed groundbreakingfor the hotel Excellence El Carmen," to be built in Punta Cana (east) at acost of more than US$100 million, and will created 2,000 jobs during constructionand 750 when operating.

For his part AntonioMontaner, CEO Excellence Group Luxury Hotels & Resorts which operatesresorts owned by Spanish families Plomer, Pascual, and Santandreu Montaner saidthe hotel, located 25 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, will openits doors during the second half of 2016.
