American Airlines announces 3 new routes to Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- American Airlines on Tuesday announced threenew routes to Dominican Republic, as part of its commitment to the expand inLatin America and the Caribbean.

American Airlines Dominican Republic CEO Oliver Bojos saidnew routes will be the international airports Punta Cana and Puerto Plata,every Saturday starting December 19.

"From mid-December this year, we will be connectingevery Saturday the airports of Charlotte, North Carolina with Gregorio LuperonInternational Airport of Puerto Plata (POP); Dallas/Forth Worth to Punta CanaInternational Airport (PUJ); and Chicago O’Hare Airport with Punta CanaInternational Airport (PUJ)," Bojos said.

"The availability of the new route from Charlotte,North Carolina will be from July 20 with reservations for travelers. However,Dallas/Forth Worth and Chicago are available to all customers today," theexecutive said.

American Airlines’ new routes add to the alreadyestablished direct flights to Miami from the airports at Santo Domingo, PuntaCana, Puerto Plata, La Romana and Santiago; and direct service to Philadelphiafrom the AILA and Punta Cana and to Boston from Punta Cana.
