Santo Domingo.- A video gone viral in the last few hours in the social networks shows two men calling on Environment minister Francisco Dominguez, to observe a lagoon's extreme pollution.

The video shows a murky blue liquid flowing into the crystalline waters of Laguna Mallen in San Pedro (east). The men donning motocross garb invite the minister to visit the site and see the situation first hand.

They complain that the pollutants are dumped into the lagoon by nearby free zone factories, ask Dominguez to take action.

The Environment Minister has been doing his job and consequently people are taking notice and feeding him information on violations of environmental laws. He hasn't been out of the news for taking actions against offenders in his new role of six months. Kudos.
