Paris.- The French National Assembly on was evacuated Wednesday when a bomb threat was received after the Greenpeace activists entered the building, report the local media, an incident occurred just minutes before president Leonel Fernandez visited the premises.

The call which warned of an explosive device was received in the Chamber around 5 p.m. local time (16: 00 GMT), though a security search of the Palais Bourbon building failed to find any such artifact.

The lawmakers were debating the Summit of Copenhagen on climatic change when some activists waved signs in the chamber and voiced the slogan " Mr. President, to the facts!," Greenpeace said in its Web site.

Juan Marichal Sports Complex

Questions have been raised about whether the development is a priority, and the fact that government guarantees and resources are being invested in this predominantly private project.
The project has also been criticized for lack of transparency and on the grounds that the government's real estate contribution is being undervalued, tenders have not been held, and there are doubts about the viability of a hotel in the area. The priority of government investment in what is primarily a real estate project is also being questioned.

Glad president wasn't physically harmed.

I don't dislike him enough to wish he were maimed or killed.

I do hope that some day he could be impeached, however, for dereliction of duty, pillaging of the Dominican treasury. I also hope all of his ill-gotten gains would somehow be confiscated, returned to DR's coffers. As for his accomplices, I would hope to see some become lamp post ornaments.

How does Greenpeace get some press when nobody cares when they are meeting with French assembly?

Phone in a bomb threat timed during their visit!

It is an old tactic but apparently it still works on those who support terrorist groups like Greenpeace
