Madrid. - Spanish authorities Tuesday said it dismantled an alleged Dominican drug trafficking network, in a Police operation that led to the arrest of 10 ten people, accused of trafficking cocaine from that Caribbean nation and "other Central American countries," to Spain, Scotland and Italy.

A source said the operation began at the end of last year in Spain when Police uncovered a ring of "citizens from the Dominican Republic dedicated to introducing large amounts of cocaine in our country," from the Caribbean country, home to its ringleader, linked to Colombian narcotics traffickers.

The detainees received the drugs from the Dominican Republic using packets hidden in their body and bought narcotics other criminal groups, to treat it and distribute afterwards from a house in Madrid’s Tetuan sector.

The operation included six raids in which the Police seized cell phones, material to “cut” and treat the drug, vehicles, computers and electronic equipment, as well as a bit more than three kilos of cocaine.

Excellent. Seems like this has become a coordinated effort.

Keep going, there are a finite number of these rats to kill.

It is good to see someone doing the job! Congrats to the Spanish police as they may be the only opportunity to weed out criminals on the Dominican side (since RD Gov, law enforcement & military are too corrupt as well as US DEA sure as hell won't do it).

Computer breaches into the US Gov computer network systems are up 40% while cybercrimes are up 153% in the past two years. It's a new form of terrorism against the US Gov that we must stop! Moreover, it does not help when the 40+ US DEA agents spend so much wasted time looking at porn on their laptops instead of using the international law & powers of extradiction to weed-out organized crime cells like the one in the Santiago barrio of ENANCHE CAONABO.

Again, congrats to the Spanish police for getting real results ...and keep digging thru the food chain to get all the rats!

US DEA stop wasting my tax dollars! I get pissed off every April 15th (tax day)!

you know those DEA agents are milking that time in the DR they are going to stay there and enjoy it as much as they can. And i bet the majority of them are probably dominican too. i mean who wouldnt milk it and live the good life out there making US dollars in a third world country and unlimited access to goverment vehicles and funding. I envy them right now.

It's reasons like this why the Spanish want to limit immigration from the Americas into their country.
