New York.– Amnesty International has called for more action in addressing violence against women and girls in the Caribbean, pointing out that Haiti was among those countries with the most urgent need to correct the problem.

In its latest report, the international human rights organization said women’s groups continue to "demand action over an increasing number of homicides in the region." However, it said that laws to improve respect for women’s rights and, in particular, the right to freedom from violence in the home, community and work place, exist in most countries in the region, with the “notable exceptions of Haiti and some other Caribbean countries."

"Nevertheless, progress on preventing violence against women and punishing those responsible remained limited," the report said, stating that Haiti stands out where more than 50 per cent of all reported victims of sexual abuse are 18 years old or younger.

Amnesty International said sexual violence against women is "pervasive" in Haiti, with girls under 18 "at particular risk". The report said that in the vast majority of cases the perpetrators were adult men, "many holding positions of power."

It said sexual abuse of girls in Haiti, some as young as nine or 10 yeas old, is "intrinsically linked to poverty, deprivation and exclusion," which it said leaves the girls "at risk of sexual exploitation as their only means of survival."

The Amnesty International report said trafficking of persons into the Dominican Republic continued unabated. In Jamaica, the organization said there are "high rates of murder and police killings in socially excluded inner-city communities," noting that the Bruce Golding administration has initiated some reforms to the police and justice system to tackle what it described as a security crisis.

This partly explaing the demographic explosion in Haiti (9.6 million people). RESTAVEK and other abusive slavery mechanism is intrinsically violating children rights in Haiti. Male Haitian are notorious for their abuse, for controlling, slavery, and inhumane treatment of minors. This report is among many others that hightlights the SAVAGERY and WILDNESS situation of the neighbor. Almost all 5.6 million children are facing some sort of slavery and/or rape and some are sent to DR for the same purpose (to be impale by Europeans) although many of the Haitian minors apprehended in DR have expressed NOT TO RETURN TO HAITI!

If you are looking for HELL IN EARTH just visit HAITI!

The Haitian are racists (95 % Congoloid), discriminate (French vs. Creole), practice slavery (RESTAVEK), are abusive (9.6 million in the island and 4 million living abroad, dehumanize women, and rape children), are destructive (destroyed their flora/fauna), are violent (> 100 Coup d'etat), and are corrupt (80 % poverty).

The Haitian are responsible for their own misery. The foreigners only see this misery and ARE BLINDED BY THAT HAITIAN'S MISERY AND, THROUGH THEIR COMPASSION, THE FOREIGNERS THINK THAT SOMEONE ELSE GAVE HAITI THAT MISERY WHEN IT IS THE SAME HAITIAN WHO NUCLEATED AND NUPTURED THAT MISERY!

That misery IS A REFLECTION OF THE INTRISINC HAITIAN BEHAVIOR OF DESPAIR, SAVAGERY, VIOLENCE, HOPELESSNESS, AND "HELL". NO one gave them that hell! And now they are trying to export that garbage to others!

To the internationals, do not point fingers to DR when DR is trying to stop these interlopers from dumping that animal behavior to DR!

letroudeballeGeneroso, has anyone suggested that you seek mental health counseling? Based on your postings, you may be suffering from extreme psychological disorders to the point that if you do not seek help, you will commit suicide.
