NEW YORK.- A New York policeman working undercover last night killed with two gunshots a Dominican youngster, which it says is a drug trafficker in Upper Manhattan.
Two other officers and a woman were slightly injured when the now deceased and other companions collided in front of a building on 188 St. and Amsterdam Avenue at 8 p.m., fleeing from a police pursuit.
The Police said the incident occurred after the suspects called 911 to falsely report being “held up” by thieves, but it affirms that it was in fact “a rip-off” between narcotics traffickers.
The alleged drug dealers had met in a McDonald’s restaurant on 170 St. and Broadway Avenue, and when officers arrived in response to the call, realized in the questioning that it was a false report and that there was no such assault. It was then when one of the agents told them that they were under arrest, leading the suspects to run to their vehicles and head south at full speed on St. Nicholas, where one of the two was intercepted by patrol cars near 189 St.
The other managed to run the blockade and turned towards Amsterdam going the wrong way on 188 St., where it crashed against a first vehicle driven by a woman. Three other cars and a motorcycle were also hit.
The Police said when the now deceased pulled a 9 mm pistol and tried to fire at them, one agent fired four times, twice hitting the victim, who died at the scene. It adds that two suspects managed to escape, as helicopters combed a 10-block zone to try to locate them.

Señores y Señoras: Quien escribe estos reportes en Ingles?
Por favor, esto es lo penoso de este caso. La falta de gramatica en este articulo.
Editen sus articulos con mas escrutinio. Spanglish se habla en Santo Domingo, ahora, yes?
The real victim here is the grammar that was used to write this story.
It gave me such a hard time understanding what took place.
Don't they teach English 101, anymore? "Affirmative Action" at work?

ArsenioALembertJr,
I was going to comment on the same issue of grammar. It seems as if this daily news site caters to the abroad community. If this is the case, then why aren't there more native english speakers writing? because some of the diction on this thing is ridiculous to say the least. The grammar and vocabulary is strictly unacceptable when reporting news. There is a paragraph today on LF and corruption that indicates that balaguer coined the phrased indelicacies. I doubt the word they meant to show was coined. Balaguer did not coin that word into the english language. But grammar is just a simple means to communicate effectively that's all. Not something major.

Its just the '' munchkins '' singing to us the remixed version of ''lollipop song'' that the government teaches them to sing ..Gramatic errors are not important , only exaggarated twists and stretches in the factual accounts are what matters.
