Why not ban flag with the crescent moon? Doesn't the crescent moon symbolizes and rally the moslem's causes that are currently threatening the territorial integrity of Russia along is southern border?

Why not ban flag with weapons? Since weapons symbolizes the technology of death that has brought misery to mankind with different ethnicity, religion beliefs, political view, different languages, etc.

Why not ban flag containing the red color since red symbolizes "the spill of blood" and that can push people to kill others to spill their blood?

Why not ban flag containing one particular tree or animal since that promotes the "uniculturalism " of our flora/fauna? Or containing the act of killing animals since that promote fauna destruction?

Why not ban flag containing images that invalidate history such as "natives shaking hands with invaders in a very warm and welcome manner"?

This ban is aimed at Georgia's present regime. Once a new government which will be friendly to Moscow will be in place over there, then the Russians will lift the ban.

I like the idea. Flags with religious symbols should be banned or modified. I think DR should change the flag and get rid of the white cross and the "Dios" and change it to "Paz, Patria, Libertad". All democracies should have separation of church and state.

Do you then think that the USA should remove "In God We Trust" that is printed on every currency (coins and bills)? Should we stop using "So help you God!" whenever someone is placed under oath? Should Federal and State employees have to work during religious holidays? Should the White House stop using taxpayers' money on Christmas decorations?
Maybe the "regalía pascual" should be stopped in the DR and people should not be given Thursday and Friday off during Holy week. Heck, let's also stop all this Christmas nonsense and make every government employee work that time of the year also.
I like and love the Dominican flag as it is. Why should we change it just because some think that it should be generic? What else should we dilute?

I think the DR flag is beautiful don't get me wrong, but it shouldn't have religious symbols or language. I don't think the cross on our flag is a big deal. It isn't proportioned like the Catholic cross anyway. I like it. But I do believe DR should be more secular, while still observing holidays.

They are watching powerlessly the Americans and the Ukrainians rearming the Gerogians to the teeth with high tech weapons, most of all anti aircraft misiles battery. That is the reason why they place two brigade in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
I think the Georgians are playing a very dangerous game with Russia, and I don't see Europe following the United States in a war against Russia over Georgia, and I don't think the Russians will show restreint the next time they are provoked to war by the Georgians. We'll see until where they can hold their frustration.

You're full of it! Either you don't know what your flag looks like, or you don't know what the DR flag looks like. The Dominican flag would not look like the Haitian flag if the cross is removed. The upper half of your flag is solid blue and the bottom half is solid red. Red and blue are diagonally opposed in the DR flag, therefore the top would be blue-red and the bottom red-blue.

Haitians have there own massive internal problems, it's not the Haitian People's fault but there Government that's in a total disarray where GREED & POWER RULES, you think the DR Government is bad.....I have never meet an Haitian in the U.S or the D.R I didn't get-a-long with they have the same wants and needs like everybody else.
