what is really sad.... when this happen i was in puerto plata , many dominicans where happy this happen and they where laughing about this whole thing... as they watch it on t.v...... very sad indeed, could not understand how any one would cheer this on when so many 1,000 of people died..... people from many different countries..

It all depends on the purpose and intent, what messages did they want to conveyed? I believe the focus was not necessarily the destruction of human life which to me is simply the after effect of terrorism. Remember terrorist do not fight against a physical enemy, though that is part of their military tactic, they attack an ideology. The destruction of the twin towers is symbolic to the destruction of American capitalism. The fall of the towers was surreal, a most dramatic exposition to the world, that terrorist are capable of bringing down to their feet, the most powerful country in the world. The location was the powerhouse of American finance. The symbolism behind the terrorist attack on a structure of such magnitude is to the world an ultimate attack on US-American ideology.

You basically said the same thing, only in different words. Islamic radicals don't kill for the sake of killing, the main focus is the false belief that it is a "Guarantee ot Heaven." This is what motivates them, the prize for their good deeds in favor of Allah. The US needs to change the minds of extremist radicals and their religious ideology. We need to destroy the thoughts of islamic radical fundamentalists. It does not matter if the US declares war on terrorism. It will only slow them down, but it will not stop them. Muslim children from the day they are born are indoctrinated to hate the west and their "demonic culture." This is how they view us as if we were the devil.
