The only thing needed is for our countries to become more stable and developed. This won't happen anytime soon because people are still too nativist, but as our world becomes smaller this is inevitable. It's already happening. First we'll have unions and the ultimate goal will be federalization by 2100. North American Union (Mexico, USA, Canada) - 2020...By 2030 Central America and Caribbean join the NAU... Then UNASUR federalized by 2040... NAU federation by 2050.....Union of the Americas by 2075...

Then Finally the Union of the Americas becomes a federation by 2100. By then all the continents will be federations... African Federation, European Federation, American Federation, Asian Federation, etc... eventually by 2150-2200 all these federations will unite as one and the world will become a highly advanced and peaceful Earth Federation. But as I said...this won't happen until all countries are developed and on the same level economically since there will be no need for millions of people to migrate and leave their home countries. So all these things will gradually happen in the next 200 years or so.

So nice to think of the day when all humans can travel freely to and from the usa and without visa immigration processing fees to pay the government as these will all be waived. Realistically - as long there there are have countries and have not countries there will never be free travel between some countries in the world.
It is up to our politicians to make travel between countries as accessible as possible. A good example is as follows - Canada/USA (a two second clearance crossing the border and no paperwork or fingerprinting or any other delays) - in most cases - the border crossing guards are as friendly as possible and act as the "TRUE AMBASSADORS" between these two countries. The reason why the border crossings are so open and successful - Canada and the USA are both have countries. You will not find this same attitude or ease of travel between the USA and Mexico.

Canuck, i agree with you 100% ,to a degree. yes, i have seen the ease with which people travel between Canada and the USA. UNLESS THEY ARE BLACK!. i used to travel regularly to Canada, and even though i do not look anything like a thug or neer do well, the Canadian authorities were merciless in their inspection of every nook and cranny of my baggage and car on EVERY OCCASION. they were always polite and civil, but NEVER have i entered Canada, on occasions too numerous to count, without being raked over the coals. the same applies to all my friends who have visited there. it appears that they believe that as long as you are dark skinned, you must be up to no good, and they have to find a way to stop darkies from soiling the Great White North.
