SANTO DOMINGO.- Honduras president elect Porfirio Lobo on Wednesday said he´s confident that the political crisis unleashed by the coup which deposed president Manuel Zelaya would ease with his Administration´s January 27 inaugural.
Lobo visited the National Palace Wednesday noon to meet with president Leonel Fernandez to deal with the Honduran political crisis. "The idea is to deal with president Fernandez, who has helped us so much, to draft an agreement letting us consolidate in my government the total reconciliation and unity of the Honduran people."
The Honduras leader said he regrets the persistence of his country´s crisis. "This government hasn’t been able to attain fluidity with president Manuel Zelaya. That’s part of the commitment which we are trying to establish today."
Lobo also guaranteed that during his government Zelaya would be treated with dignity and affirmed that he´s in favor of pardoning everyone involved in the putsch. “We all must forgive. We strongly defend an amnesty for all, regardless of the ideological differences we may have, it’s in the interest of the Honduran people."

Im about to loose my lunch . Leonel is now the antichrist and Hugo is the false prophet . So many Dominicans are so hard up to see thier nation get a good piece of ''press'' that they would sell out thier beliefs and thier people for a chance to be like the Americans who arrogantly smile in the camera while chanting ''we're#1''

So we are going to pay the expenses of this "Distinguished Guess"?...What the hell will the DR gain with this, Leonel?

There is not the slightest evidence any where that this man has a tarnished history ..his background is , according to two different sources , that he attended both a university in Miami and in Moscow which would have given him a rounded education .I see no reason why every one has to be denigrated here without a shred of actual evidence ..is it the Dominican way to denigrate everyone even if not knowing personally about them ..I think most Dominicans have a better character .

I wonder if Lobo is Episcopalian or Roman Catholic?
From: Dominican Republic, vieja Santo Domingo
All you have is a desire for character assassination ..never a worthwhile suggestion , no ideas but just against everything positive ..sorry, but one day you will learn that the church is called la Iglesia Episcopal and I support that church and many other churches that help Dominicans ..
Here you are even wanting the IMF and the World Bank to forgive the Dominican loans ...luckily the authorities and also the younger generation have a better idea of financial morality .
thank God for the way this country is going even if you and your little group try to denigrate everyone and everything ..your vindictiveness is appealing only to the lowest minds

Where is that in ANY of my POSTS, EVER?
Where have I EVER said anything against Episcopalians or any CHURCH, RELIGION or DENOMINATION for that matter?
And hear I thought Martha was Jewish!
The stress of not knowing the difference between Episcopalians and an Episcopal conference is getting to you.
There is medication for that; start of with Valium its the legal drug of choice for your generation and social class.

Mr. Fernandez and Mr. Lobo are agents of the U.S. and their missions has been accomplished. Honduras is no longer a member of ALBA.
