Pofirio Lobo, President Fernandez in the Honduras president elect's recent visit.
Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez is scheduled to fly to Honduras at 8 a.m. Wednesday, where he’ll participate in the inaugural of elect president Porfirio Lobo winner of his country’s elections in November.
The Presidency’s Press director Rafael Núñez said the chief executive will travel aboard a private flight which will take off from San Isidro Airbase, accompanied by Foreign Relations minister Carlos Morales, the Presidency’s Legal adviser Cesar Pina, among others officials.
The Head of State will return in the afternoon companied by deposed president Manuel Zelaya, who will come with part of his family.

Ousted Honduran President Jose Manuel Zelaya will be granted safe passage to the Dominican Republic as a guest, resolving a diplomatic impasse that kept him trapped in Honduras, Dominican Republic President Leonel Fernandez said Wednesday.
Zelaya, who has been staying at the Brazilian embassy in Honduras, would leave for the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, Fernandez said.
The deal was reached with Honduran President-elect Porfirio "Pepe" Lobo, with the defeated presidential candidates in last November's election signing the accord as witnesses. Lobo takes office next week.

If Zelaya is really leaving DR next Tuesday, then why come to DR at all and not just go straight to Mexico?
Something just doesn't make sense to me about this story. I suspect there is something underhanded going on and LF would inevitably stand to profit materially from it. Some quid pro quo, if you know what I mean. It really smells like rotten fish and chicken poop mixed together, at least to me it does.

If my recollection serves me right on METRO 2nd line, it will be a private endeavor. Unless the investors are out laundering money, they must've seen some way of making this business work, for only governments would be willing to lose money on grandiose and financially unsound investments. Maybe I am giving these guys too much credit.
Anyway, Josean, you are the dean of anything METRO, and I suppose my recollection is just wrong and defer to your deep mastering of the subject matter.
Could you please enlighten us once more on subject? It could really be fun....you know how many people despise this subject. Heck, we could probably elicit >100 responses. This could really enliven forum. Think of all the miserable souls whose day you would clearly make.
