Santo Domingo.- Six Dominican women who worked in cabarets in the island nation Cyprus have filed charges against their employers so far this year, after revealing that aside from “dancing and serving drinks” they were forced to have sex with the customers.
The women, between 21 and 36 years of age have cases pending in Cyprus and have been called to testify on their experiences, that country’s news sources report.
The women said a woman named “Maritza” recruited them in their country on promises of working as waitresses in night clubs, but once in Cyprus were told they wouldn’t get paid unless they also had sex with the customers
The women’s alleged pimps also face charges in other countries, which may uncover a people trafficking network.
Testimonies
In February newspaper Cyprus Mail reported that a 21 year old Dominican testified that she was forced into sexual encounters with several men in the night club where she worked as a dancer. It added that the woman traveled to Cyprus to work “serving drinks and dancing” and once there was told that her services included having sexual relations with the customers.
If she didn’t do so, the woman said in Court, she wouldn’t get paid.

I find it interesting to see that you guys have all missed the point here. I agree that most women go to other countries knowing what they are going to do once they get there. Having said that they do get abused and many dont ever make it back home.
Most are forced to leave the country looking for a better life.
The dominican women to their own demise are very good at what they do and very inexpensive compare to women from other countries. making them very attractive to the human trade.
