Santo Domingo.- The agencies which investigate major crimes around the world, headed by Interpol, issued an alert for the arrest of Jorge Torres Orellana or Jorge Aníbal Puello Torres, wanted on charges of heading a major people trafficking ring, and through fingerprints determine if he’s a native of Dominican Republic or El Salvador.
Interpol said Orellana is accused in El Salvador of heading an international trafficking people network, and perhaps related to the Americans who tried to take 33 children out of Haiti across the border with Dominican Republic.
Interpol police services director Jean-Michel Louboutin said the “red alert” has been proven effective to help police globally, to locate and arrest fugitives, by “severely” limiting their movement and possibilities of crossing borders.
Jorge Torres Orellana or Jorge Puello Torres made news in January, when the international media reported the arrest of the 10 Americans who illegally tried to take the Haitian children out of the devastated country.

This con artist shows up a week or so ago with a yarmulke claiming he is a sephardic jew, and head of the Santo Domingo branch of sephardic jews, to la Z radio station, and making his case for the Baptists who where jailed in Haiti, for attempting to smuggle children.
Everybody bought his con antics as he was wearing a suit and sporting a longer beard, claiming he was a lawyer, and many other fabrications.
The truth is that he conned the Baptists offering his services "pro bono", but of course demanding "expense money and "grease" money for the Haitians, to the tune some say of tens of thousands of dollars.
The Baptists "do gooders" keep making horrible mistakes and selecting wrong choices, they are an example of improper conduct, and disregard authority and the rule of law, attempting convenient short cuts, that end up in disastrous consequences for all.

French Nicolas Sarkozy promised $400 million in aid for Haiti today, Feb. 17, the bourgeois media report.
This sum is almost one-third of the $1,500 billion that UN asked for today.
Sarkozy toured a French field hospital in Port au Prince inspected the city's damage from a chopper.
France already canceled all of Haiti's US$77 million debt to Paris. US imperialists have not cancelled anything and seek to collect the debt out the emergency aid Haiti receives. The IMF and World Bank talked about postponing paying on the debt for a few years but neither institution has postponed anything.
The $400 million aid package from France will include reconstruction money, emergency aid and $40 million in support for the Haitian government's budget, the bourgeois media report.
Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive said the budgetary support was crucial: "It means we are going to use it [that is, only the $40 million] the way we want."

It is unclear how the rest of the French aid ... the $360 million ... will be used and by whom.
The Miami Herald reported that US imperialists, led by Bill Clinton, want joint control of the aid money with the Haitian Government. The Haitians and the French seem to have other ideas, at least as far as the $40 million for Haitian Government budget is concerned.
France in January ran into problems with US imperialists who, this year, militarily occupied Haiti for third time in 16 years. US imperialists refused to let French planes, carrying aid to the Haitian people, land at Haitian airports or let French ships carrying aid dock at Haitian ports. US planes and ships supplying 17,000 US troops occupying Haiti were allowed to land and dock at Haiti's airports and seaports.
French got around much of the US corruption and obstruction by re-routing its aid for Haiti through the DR. Perhaps, the French will give DR bourgeoisie some of their reconstruction contracts.
