CARACAS.- Dominican Republic president Leonel Fernandez took part in a gathering of Latin America’s leftist heads of State, who converged in Venezuela’s capital to mark the its Independence Bicentennial
At the end of the celebration Fernandez praised the Venezuelan people for their nation’s process toward progress, adding that South America’s democratic process and sovereignty have been consolidated for many years but must continue its struggle to maintain the accomplishment.
“It’s a constant process of construction of our nations’ territorial sovereignty, independence and integrity; it’s a permanent fight,” Fernandez said, and again congratulated the Venezuelans, urging them to continue preserving the values which led o their independence, driven by Simon Bolivar’s ideals.
The chief executive attended a military parade and cultural events lasting more than four hours along one of Caracas’ major avenues, together with dignitaries and presidents of the region, including Bolivia’s Evo Morales; Ecuador’s Rafael Correa; Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega; Argentina’s Cristina Kitchner; and Cuba’s Raul Castro.

ALBA countries agreed on Tuesday in Venezuela to strengthen integration and sovereignty for the construction of the socialism because capitalism through its 300 years existence in Latin America and Caribbean has failed totally.
As a culmination of the 9th Summit of the bloc, the heads of State and Government from Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Venezuela ratified their aims through a document entitled "Manifesto Strengthening the New Independence of Caracas."
Prominent observers ... certain bourgeois leaders ...were also present.
Socialist leaders at the event resolved to defend of human rights, democracy, environment, and overcome extreme porverty inherited from vile capitalism system by the construction of a socialist economic base with Sucre (instrument of payment), transnational companies, and the Bank of ALBA, among other measures.
Cuba, of course, already has a socialist economic base.

Capitalism is an old, tired, anachronistic and rotten economic system that concentrates wealth for the few by a massive creation of poverty for the many.
About 20% of the globe exits as imperialist parasites at the expense of the impoverished 80% of the globe.
Globally, this distribution of income and tolerable standards of livngs does not correspond to distribution of labor and natural resources.
This horrendously exploitative imbalance is maintained principally by the extraordinary military might of rotten imperialist powers.

See we do already have Socialist views in the U.S, it's called Welfare, Food-stamps, Section-8 which brought us MORE of the same......POVERY BREEDS POVERTY, a large % of poor want to make it the quick easy no effert way.
I could see 2012 now 100% of poor & unemployed voting for B.H OH'Blama with 'Level the playing field & spreading the money".
No worry ! the Government has all the answers........mainly for those who can't think and act for them selves or their Families.

The fact is the US bourgeoisie is exporting tens of millions of US jobs overseas to labor markets that have an excess of cheap labor. The resulting unemployment and underemployment in the USA have nothing to do with the "wants" of US workers. The talk about the "wants" of US workers is bourgeois ideology which aims to pass the buck for growing poverty within the USA from the rich to the poor.
