From: Puerto Rico
The Arizona law is the single, most assertive initiative ever redacted by any competent state concerning the serious problem that illegal immigration is. I only hope that such legislation were adopted on a widespread basis by the rest of the states comprising the union. In fact, here in Puerto Rico we need such involvement by the police in the erradication of illegal foreigners that do nothing good for the rest of society; they empoverish the rest via their sub-par living standards and ways of dissassociating themselves from the customs of the rest of society.
Example: What is the use of allowing someone working in one's country if they do not pay taxes? What do these people do when they fall sick? They fall back on the health system that is upkept by the citizens that DO pay taxes. This is a type of robbery. We must not allow it. For someone to parttake in a society fully they must adopt the same responsibilities as the rest.
Oust the illegal community amongst us!!!

With the Arizona LAW, they can stop you for not being white.
I say, we should all go back to our home lands and let the White people, cut their own lawns, cook their own food, build their own roads, build their own homes, wash their own dishes, clean their own homes and offices.
When you hear or read "with liberty and justice for all" (all means, all who are white)
From: Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela, DR, Latin America Unida, Que Viva la Revolucion Carajo!!
The point of the matter is that everyone should pay taxes regardless where they've come from.. Why are illegals exempt? I have medical bills stacked in my apartment while the illegals get away with not paying a dime and getting the same or better healthcare than many of us. In addition, you can't find a job because business owners prefer to give work to illegals so they don't have to pay taxes or medical coverage and pay them whatever they want. Eye for an eye tooth for a tooth. Idanis got what he deserved and Everyone else who protects against this law should be placed behind bars too. It is the right thing to do and people will be better off in the future.
No body gets away with this in any other civilized country but in America who likes to handle everything to people in their hands. Everyone should work hard and become legal in this country as the rest of us and our ancestors have worked to make this country a better place for future generations.

They seem to forget that they were once immigrants themselves.
Most of the US border patrol is made up of Mexican/Americans that are ONLY Americans because their grandparents crossed over illegally into the United Stated.

1. They only stop you when you break the law, don't break the law.
2. No nobody forces one to work, we work to inbetter our own lives, thats why their here in the first place, invisible chains of slavery ? it's a mind set.
3. Mexico needs to enforce their own illigal imigration laws like Central & South Americans who enter threw Mexico and into the U.S. I understand they have there own problems just like the DR and Haiti.
4. America is a Nation of laws, PROOF we have a half-white for a Prez. no more slavery, equal oppertunity unlike any other Nation in the World the U.S CONSTITUTION.
5. Why remove ILLIGAL form ILLIGAL IMIGRATION ? to inflame the victim crap ?
6. We ignore Historiclly what the first Europeans [Spanish] did to Native Peoples prior to 1492.
7. Imagine Free health care, welfare, food stamps TO ALL taxpayer or not.

The following are essential for effectively existing as a country, in my opinion:
1) Defined border
2) A common language
3) A common culture, which is assimilated by all newcomers
4) Rule of law
You are welcomed in this country, so long as you follow the process and our laws and respect the culture. It is not your country, and you must not change it into what you left behind-if it was so great, then why did you leave it in first place? You do have choices: if you don't like it, then you could always crawl back into the hole whence you escaped.
The USA is a great country.....too bad it may contain within itself the seed of its own destruction.
If you get caught in a crime and you are a foreigner, especially an illegal one, then I have absolutely no problem with you being immediately deported.....none at all! You are not our problem and we already have a much too generous welfare system for those lucky enough to have been born here; sadly, most of them are leeches.

They don't.....all get payed cash under the table, many employers work them long 8+ hours with no vacation, sick, over time pay and unemployemnt benefits thats why most come in the first place to make money, most send money back to familys.
Most illigals immigrants come threw the back door and are hard working people but get abused most by their own people.....it's the small 10% drug dealers, cotrabadistas, criminals plain and simple.
BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !
I'll end with.....
The other 90% are capitalist and want to make it given the oppertunity.....reality is thats the part "La Raza" revolutionist, sociolist, commies can't stand and don't want you to know, its easyer to bunch the masses for numbers sake....sounds more like "El Grito"....
It's better to know the differance.
Reality is most Latinos in America can't stand each other in the first place.....racisium among ourselves has always been at a all time high and will never change.

FYI, the Arizona Law is virtually copied fron the US Code on Immigration.
Read the damn law, digest it, look aat the number of all those you refer to as being the "servants" of the "White Folks", then get your bigoted mind out of the subterranean atmosphere it exists in.
If a foreign applies for Immigration status to the USA, pays the fees associated with that application, passes the "citizenship tests" and ABIDES BY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS which outline his actions, then he is welcomed within the Borders of the USA.
On the otherhand, if he sneaks, or surrepticiously crosses the US Border without proper Documentation, then he is, BY LAW, and ILLEGAL ALIEN. Ain't no other way to describe such a person. There are those who, by using "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS", refer to that person as ann "UNCOCUMENTED IMMIGRANT".
FYI, A SPADE IS A SPADE, IT IS NEITHER A BLOODY SHOVEL NOR A SPOON.
People like YOU are subverting our laws by trying to give other interpretations to them. TB

Jenarenas,
As an individual with both Dominican and PRican roots, I must clearly take exception to some of your comments.
Yes, illegal immigration is an issue for the Puerto Rican state, and many illegals are Dominican. That said, it should be understood that these illegal citizens do pay taxes and, most likely, don't claim their contributions and get little in return in terms of services, etc.
It is amusing that a person hailing from a state where a substantive population segment subsists on some form of US welfare would take such a strong position as yours. You, as a nation, are very fortunate to be linked to the hated gringo, even though you gladly take their money and always ask and demand more. Heck, your university system is presently on strike because the student body doesn't think it gets enough of a free ride-the nerve! On the main land, we work hard for our education and go into debt to support it; perhaps it's high time you do similarly.

I agree everyone should be here legally. Wherever I go, I go legally.
What bothers me about this whole thing is the racial profiling.
I was in Houston last week and every time I saw a Cop that had someone pulled over it was a Hispanic.
Now this week I’m in Dallas and the same thing is going on here.
Racial Profiling is not right. If you break the law then they have the right to pull you over, but if you are dark skinned they pull you over just to mess with you.

Ok, maybe most of these people wouldn't have to cross in illegally into the US removed all of the red tape and bureaucracy that exists in during the application process. Do you know how long does it take for a US Citizen to successfully petition an unmarried brother/sister in the DR? 15 years!!!

Yet, the processing of petition processing of white countries, like those in Eastern Europe or Russian are much much faster. I know of this case where a sole proprietor business was able to petition for an Eastern European, that was in the US illegally because they overstayed their visa took only about three years. Guess how long will it take for a Dominican? try NEVER!
I understand quotas, F%&K if sh^t didn't take this long, maybe people wouldn't have to cross the borders, illegally.
Look the only thing keeping whites from Eastern Europe and Russians from coming in masses like Mexicans cross into the us border is he Atlantic Ocean.
But, Texas, you are probably at least a 4th gen US Citizen, who has no parents, no siblings, no cousins, no family that have illegal issues (and I mean in your side not your wife's side) so I don't expect you to understand. Same goes for Puerto Ricans for who were born in the last 45 yrs.

Your coments about observing the police having pulled over a Hispanic subject in two different cities and the associated Asumption you have make regarding those TWO observed incidents have their roots in "junping to conclusions".
Area you CERTAIN these people were "pulled over" SIMPLY BECAUSE they were a different color, or was there some other reason fortheir veing detained. Did you observe, from the begining of the incident, or did you come upon these subjects long AFTER THEY HAD BEEN DETAINED?
It seems to me, from your point of view, that you are overtly looking for ANY sort of reason to justify your position. Look into your REAL attitude toward the points of the debate and quit rationalizing the facts to fit your position.

Your asertion that the only thing preventing Eastern Europeans (Russians included) from coming into the USA is the Atlantic Ocean is probably very true. But your whole argument after that falls apart.
Individually, Dominicans (and other Latin ethnic groups included) are some of the most hospitable people on this Earth. It is those very few who are "streetcorner jicky-jack used car dealers" and the like who have managed to denegrate the rest. The result is a very bad taste in the mouth of the USCIS. the INS and the State Department as to their desirability of becoming citizens of the USA, or for that matter, even visiting the country.
My wife applied for aVisitor's Visa shortly after we were married so we could visit my children and introduce her to them. She was turned down for no apparant reason. We decided to immigrate to the US some months later, and 3 years later we finally fot Immigrant Visas for her and our three boys.

Well, old son, I assure you I DO UNDERSTAND, but I don't agree with your assessment.
There are "qualified" reasons for the US to look askance at ANY application for immigrant status by ANY individual.
Point in fact: How many Dominicans are deported each year from the US? For whata reasons are they deported? How many "other" Latinos are deported each year? What are the reasons for their being deported?
These area questions you should be asking and seeking answers for and NOT making blanket assumptions of "racial profiling" as being the reasons.
In addition, the operative question remains as "Should Illegal Aliens EVER be allowed to remain in the country they have invaded, forWHATEVER REASON, or should they be deported without predjudice immediately upon being identified.
The DR has a similar problem with Haitians. How do you reconcile that cunundrum. Do you treat it the same, or differently. UNDERSTAND?

To both ElProfe and Lovingit;
Let's just get the records straight in the matter before us.
To begin with, I do understand both your positions regarding this matter.
I just have an entirely different perspective.
I don't relate to any particular ethnic group, as the two of you do. Maybe that is because of my 26 years of US Military Service where "racial profiling" and similar social focuses were frowned upon very heavily.
That doesn't mean my attitudes changes overnight. Being a native Texan, I had many preconceived attitudes that went through some very profound and thought provoking changes during my tenure in the Military. I selected to settle in the the Killeen/Ft. Hood area purposely because the Military, as a whole is imminently more accepting of individuals, regardless of color or ethnic origin than is Civilian Society.
While I may symphatize with those who have elected to come here illegally, seeking a better life, I cannot condone nor support that activity.

It's funny to me when I hear people say that Arizona did the right thing. No they did not. The idea was correct, but the practice is so wrong. A cop could stop you in Arizona just for having a suspicion of anything. And of course for the most part that meas not being a white person which equates to racial profiling. The whole thing is so unconstitutional that I can't wait for it to go in front of the Supreme Court and get dumped in the garbage with the rest of the garbage. And those naturalized and/or native born American Citizens that are not white and that are glorifying this move by Arizona, just pray that this is not adopted and/or implemented in the states where you live, cause trust and believe you will be scrutinized and will come under fire by Cops and other authorities just like any other "illegal immigrant" just for looking like one.

How many Dominican criminals were deported to the DR ? does the DR have its own illigal immigration problem ? does Mexico have it's own problem with illigals entering in from South & Central America via Mexico into the U.S ?

Riosm you said,
"Snoopyy3k,
Thats what the protestors want you to believe. The police are too busy as it is, just ask yourself how many illigal criminals in our jails and prisons ? "
Answer
The incarceration rate in state or federal prison or jail for men was 1,384 per 100,000 residents, for women 134 per 100,000 residents. The rate for white men was 736 per 100,000, for black men 4,789 per 100,000, for Hispanic men 1,862 per 100,000. The rate for white women was 94 per 100,000, for black women 358 per 100,000, and for Hispanic women 152 per 100,000.
So from what we can see from this report is that there are more blacks and Hispanics in American prisons than there are whites.
Now has a Mexican ever gone Postal and shot his co workers?
Has a Mexican gone to school and shot his teachers and class mates?
Has a Mexican gone and blown up a federal building?
I wonder if they have a pill for COCONUT syndrome?

WASHINGTON - Confronting soaring frustration over illegal immigration, President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned Arizona's crackdown and pushed instead for a federal fix the nation could embrace. He said that will never happen without Republican support, pleading: "I need some help."
In asking anew for an immigration overhaul, Obama showed solidarity with his guest of honor, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who called Arizona's law discriminatory and warned Mexico would reject any effort to "criminalize migration." The United States and Mexico share a significant economic and political relationship that stands to be damaged the more the nations are at odds over immigration, which affects millions of people on both sides of the border.
Obama sought to show that he, too, is fed up with his own government's failure to fix a system widely seen as broken. He said that would require solving border security, employment and

Look, a the husband/wife thing is different, and that gets a higher priority, but anything else is simply ridiculous. Remember I mentioned about this Eastern European couple whose spouse was deported and then was back in the US within 3 years? yes, its also a personal case I know. I also happened to know another case of a Mexican, married to a US Citizen (Born in the US), that was not deported, but his only option to legalize his status was to go to Mexico and wait 10 years. So why 3 years for a deportee from Europe, and 10 years for a Mexican that left on his own as adviced by INS? How about the spouse, children? Making someone wait 10 years to re-unite them with their family should be a crime (yes, they visit him in Mexico once a year or so, but c'mon, its not the same)

I read the references and came to the conclusion that the system used is one of great compication.
I imagine those who work with such occassionally get confused also with all the switching, moving and comparing quotas of individual countries with the total allowed each year.
Such a system, regardless of how closely it is regulated, by country quota, by catigory quota, etc., some individuals are bound to slip through the seive. That's regretable, but it happens.
There is a way whereby the person from Mexico can re-apply under the category of uniting his family. it might require the wife to enlist the intervention and aid of her Senator and Representative, but it can be done.
I have to agree with you that 10 years is a bit long for a person to wait for a visa to join his family, especially where children are involved. He can bypass the quotas if he applies under the correct regulation.
The biggest problem, s I see it, is the bureaucracy one must deal with.

Dealing with ANY of our government bureaucraqcies is a major pain in the A$$, to say the least. Their only loyalty is to their immediate supervisor and the "Peter Principle" runs rampant. That's where a person is promoted to the limit of his/her incompetance and left to moulder in place.
I think that you must understand that the US MUST limit the annual number of immigrants (legal ones, that is) else it is possible that the country COULD BE OVERWHELMED by individuals who would never really contribute to the general Public, but would be a drain on an already saturated population.
At least the US allows some 1/4 million Legal Immigrants to enter the country annually. What all the broohaha is all about are those who have entered without having gone through the prescribed entry application and process.
I must add that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I, can I, condone the presence of those who have not complied with those prescribed processes.

No amount of justification caqn be put forth based on a person "getting tired of waiting" thenm entering the US ILLEGALLY.
Cases like the TWO you have cited are being held up as the NORM in INS/USCIS operation and that is just NOT TRUE. Thousands enter the USA annually from all countries and from all walks of life. My views on illegal immigration are similar. I don't want immigrants entering the DR in masses either without the right paperwork. I hate the fact the Dominicans cross he mona passage. But you say:
"No amount of justification caqn be put forth based on a person "getting tired of waiting" thenm entering the US ILLEGALLY."
That's were we disagree. One quick example: Your starving or sick child would be a justification. Supporting your family. Remember, the ones that are in the US can't get government like WIC or Welfarem because if they do, then at that time they disqualify the petition for their spouse's visa because they do not have the means to "sponsor" an individual. Brother, I tell you its more complicated than what you think. The long wait times need to STOP! If the US says: ok, we have enough Mexicans, enough Dominicans, then let it be it, close the application process for those countries and stop taking apps, and people's money, to then "consider" them in 10 year

Or provide other options, like temp work visas for specific industries. Like construction, say high season is April - October. Well give them visas to enter for that time and work, pay taxes and support their family. Then go back and wait for high season to begin again. I am sure that will encourage the right thing. Things could be put in place so that if they stay, as soon as monies are reported on their tax ID past their stay period, that they are on some list of violations, etc.

All arguments (debates) become an exercise in futility when BOTH PARTIES are adamant in their opposing philosophies. There is no evident solution.
Again, we aply the "IF, THEN, ELSE" system to the solution.
Oftimes such is successful, and other times not. Social interaction frequently creates cunumdrums that become insoluble, even over time with all parties working diligently for solutions.
Political will, in the case of governments and Political parties, is frequently shuffled aside through fear of reprocussions from the ruling mileau. This latter is sheer cowardice, and I publicly accuse the US Congress of exercising that state of being.
In addition, there are the various bureaucracies within the US Government who/which do little more that give voice support to a social/political problem without vigorously enforcing the "Law of the Land".
Such is the case with the overwhelming encroachment of illegal immigrant problem.

Irrespective of the problems of the individual with relation to one's family condition. ie., starving children. poverty. etc., one either believes in the "RULE OF LAW" or one leans toward "ANARCHY", which is the OPPOSITE scenario.
Under your rationalization, ANARCHY is the solution to the problem. That of totally disregarding the LAWS OF ALL COUNTRIES in order to satisfy one's individual agenda.
Should EVERYONE embrace such a philosophy/agenda, the world would not be worth living in because of the CHAOS which would follow.
The ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION problem in the US is rapidly approaching CHAOS, whether we acknowledge that or not. The country is divided between those who support their ethnic group, regardless of an individuals right to be there or not. The equation of the status of the individual, legal or illegal, with regard to immigration has been adultrated beyound any reasonable identification. The logic behind such equation is fallacious.

Cont'd from above.
There can be no other definition to the false marriage of "legal" and Illegal" in the minds of many.
I can't say I have aa solution to the "ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION" problem, but one is certainly forthcoming which will further exacerbate the division of our society over the long run.
Here in the US, the situation has gone beyound any truly logical solution because of the intense emotionalism involved.
There are several Politically Active groups involved in the struggle. Their logic is skewed toward supporting illegals BECAUSE of Ethnicity without regard to the Laws governing the influx. These groups want nothing less than outright rubberstamping of legalizing the presense of the Illegals. They want such for the purpose of increasing the number of political supporters andfor no other reason.
What is in the wings is a power struggle without regard to the problems created within our society, both economically and politically.

Texas,
You are right in that we may not come to an agreement. Of course, the law is the law, but I wouldn't say illegally entering the US because you have waited an extensive period of time and nothing on your case to be anarchy. Its human nature to get tired of waiting. We get tired of standing traffic jams right? Most obey the law and wait for the jam to clear, but all of the time you see a few that go on the shoulder, perform illegal U-Turns, etc. What if people were stuck in traffic for a whole day, or several days and the authorities have not been able to provide an alternate solution? how long before everyone just starts performing U-Turns and using the shoulder so that they could get out of there? Not long my friend. Is it anarchy to find a way out because the authorities have not been effective? No.

Purpoely breaking any law is not acceptable in ANY CIVILIZED SOCIETY.
The rationalization is TOTALLY FALLACIOUS and inexcusable.
What if I don't like the way you p;ark your car in your own driveway and proceed to move it with a hired wrecker?? To do so is a violation of your rights.
The same philosophy applies to performing in such a manner so as to deny another the safety of his environment, the false use of public facillities, the denial of the right to work because an illegal immigrant has taken a job you wanted, or could perform?
your reasoning is based on the false premise that because you have a need, you have the right to deny another who is entitled where you are not.
It's just that simple, lovingit, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR DESIRES IF THOSE DESIRES ARE IN OPPOSITION TO THE LAW.
A Bank Robber who has a need for the money stolen is not justified in robbing because of that need because in doing that illegal act he denies others of their money. TB
From: United States, Killeen, TX - Home of the 1st Cavalry
If the persons whom are elected to promulgate and enforce the law to the benefit of the constituency fail to do their duty, then it is incumbent upon us as that constituency to act and eliminate, through the electoral process, those individuals who are abrogating their official duties.
I would ask why those who invade my country do not seek to resolve their social problems locally instead of taking the course they have selected. I surmise that either they don't have the fortitude to do so, or they are afraid of the consequencies of their actions in their own country.
Their presence exacerbated an already strained legal work force and economy. There can be no denial of that ramification to the deterrance of good social order.
I can only continue to speak out against illegal immigration, in all forms and reasons given.

Texas,
Are you THAT disconnected from society that my examples didn't make any sense to you?
You seem to forget that I mentioned that I DO NOT CONDONE illegal immigration. What I mentioned is that I could understand why it happens, especially since the processing methods used by INS are EXTREMELY poor and desperation causes the influx just like desperation would cause people to look for another way out of a traffic jam if the State police did not properly detour them and left them for granted there for over a day.
Your counter examples are in a totally different realm (you can't compare robbing a bank to an illegal U-turn, that's why the penalty codes range from serious offenses to misdemeanors, to simple traffic violations in case you didn't know)
Could countries do a better job to better serve their citizen to eliminate the need to immigrate elsewhere? of course! But the point here is that the US does a POOR JOB with the immigration process.

I'll end with......no matter what part of the world we come from as LEGAL IMMIGRANTS we must respect and uphold the U.S Constitution and the rule of law.
Being Dominican born I like millions of immigrants before me come to take advantege of what America has to offer FREEDOM & OPPERTUNITY offered no where else in the world, but by the same token give back to HER Loyalty, Honor, Respect and if need be defend HER from all enemys foreign and domestic.
Being foreign born I have many times felt more American then those who are American born. I say to those who would label me a "coconut" or a "Tio Pancho" I'll share a popular saying in the 1960's "AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT".

That I am very emotionally envolved with t he subject is self evident from all my previous posts hereon. I just get my gonads in a crack when the subject comes up and people hammer my country in any sort of a negative way.
That's not to say you have done so.
I must agree that the present system is, if not broked, it is severly bent. I firmly believe it is because of those whoare charged with the administration of the rules are sitting on their collective A$$es placing themselves in the position of being judge and jury with the applications which are in the system. Most of these people think of themselves as being the sole "guardians of "US Sociaty".
From: United States, Killeen, TX - Home of the 1st Cavalry
These are the bureaucrats who run the system. The system is dependent on them to administer the law and they are the true "bottleneck" throwing a monkey-wrench into the cogs that grind away.
I personally can see where there needs to be great improvement in identifying just who they are.
Our system is designed with fairness to all applicants who vie for the priviledge of immigrating, but in many cases, as you have pointed out, the system, and those who administer it, fall far short of the intended outcome. That it isfrustrating goes without saying, but it is the only system being administered as of today.
Personally, my solution is to identify ALL the ILLEGALS and their families, pack them up and return them to whence they came, allowing them to make proper application, join the que as others have done and wait their turn. To me that is the only fair way to handle the problem, regardless of who it hurts or why it hurts them. They must suffer the consequences of their actions.

It's my understanding once arrested without legal documentation and deported....that's it ! banned for life ?
So then the question arises do the illigals who are that willing to migrate to America for a better life and future for both them selves and their families really want to chance it ?
I've heard of stories of illigals being deported numerous times, they don't care they'll just come back, talking about pushing their will on the American people, the border must be closed.
Many who post forget were a Nation at WAR ! don't they understand or care if illigals, drugs and weapons can enter the U.S undetected....does the word terrorist mean anything....anymore ?

My understanding is he was arrested for what he did not what he said.
During any protest if Law Enforcement feels it has the potential of becoming violent or turn into a riot like atmoshere and in order to protect life and property [inclueding protestors] Law Enforcement warns first verbally in a loud speaker to "disperse now" followed by a another warning "you can and will be arrested for failure to do so".....but being arrested after all is the iceing on the cake in any protest in order to play victims of "DA MAN" and draw attention especially in front of a National/International media presense.

They fall back on the health system that is upkept by the citizens that DO pay taxes. This is a type of robbery. We must not allow it.
No body gets away with this in any other civilized country but in America who likes to handle everything to people in their hands. Everyone should work hard and become legal in this country as the rest of us and our ancestors have worked to make this country a better place for future generations.

6. We ignore Historiclly what the first Europeans [Spanish] did to Native Peoples prior to 1492.
7. Imagine Free health care, welfare, food stamps TO ALL taxpayer or not.

10. Illigal is and will always be Illigal.
11. That's one thing for sure Death and Taxes and under Oh'Blama more taxes before death.
12. Mexico needs to stop giving free water, maps, first-aide & survival kits to their own People.
13. Why ignore what the U.S Federal Gov. failed to do in the first place ENFORCE THE LAW then freak when the State enacts its own ?

15. People like ME, YOU and millions of others in the past came willingly for a better life, remember ! only cause our own Countrys were so full of crap.

18. If one breaks the law and is pulled over the police says "may I see your drivers Lic." thats the end of that.....one can't get a Drivers Lic. without legal I.D remember.
19. All forget that in Mexico's "DIA DE LOS MUERTOS" day of the dead will have that special meaning all right.
20. I have yet to any PROTEST regarding the mass killings, kidnappings for ramson why ? it's O.K its only Mexicans killing Mexicans...a new meaning to the phase "QUE VIVA MEXICO".
21. Ever enter / drive into Mexico ? no problem just wave as you drive across the border....

IN Mexico ALL foreign born protestors are deported on sight without any due process faster then one can say "VIVA MEXICO"...
Which by the way, with all the massive drug killings.....Mexico's celibrated "Dia De Los Muertos" will have a new meaning this year with a record 20,000 plus killings and counting so far.

Tex,
I agree everyone should be here legally.
That SUCKS.
It's probably that mentality "I'm in the old Coutry I'll do as I please"....America is a Nation of laws, nobody is above the law of the land......
These wacko Arizona protestors refuse to let the Law of the land take it's course, maybe it's the fear they'll be proven wrong in the end.

You just don't F%&KING UNDERSTAND!!!
No matter which way you may think, Legal is still Legal and Illegal is still Illegal. So, by what right do Illegals have to demand ANYTHING. They are STILL INVADERS and are costing me aand other a bundle.
TexasBill
Cont'd below
you say "I just don't understand"!
UNDERSTAND?
TexasBill

Thats what the protestors want you to believe. The police are too busy as it is, just ask yourself how many illigal criminals in our jails and prisons ? once time is served only to be deproted. How many Dominican criminals were deported to the DR ? does the DR have its own illigal immigration problem ? does Mexico have it's own problem with illigals entering in from South & Central America via Mexico into the U.S ?
If pulled over for a traffic violation and asked for a drivers Lic. that's it, it stops there....one needs legal documentation in the first place to obtain a drivers Lic....ever think about fake I.D's like green cards, drivers Lic. etc..etc.. how about terrorist entering the U.S ? after all they do look like Latinos.

FYI, I am very white (and speak English perfectly), I blend in with the Americans, but what pisses me off is the way that I am treated once an American hears my sir name Sanchez. Yes they treat me just like one of them until they find out that I am Hispanic.
No, I have not been pulled over and missed with YET and what would give them the right if I don’t break the law. I would love for one of Americas finest mess with me because I am ready and I have a battery of Attorneys to sue them with.
I’m starting to think that you are a want-a-be (coconut) brown on the outside and all white on the inside. That what happens to a lot of Hispanics in this country (they become brain washed and forget their roots).
FYI, When I was in Houston last week and saw what was going on I hung around and after the COP left I walked over to the young lady and asked her why she was pulled over. She said that they did not give her a ticket, but the Nice American non profiling Cop took her visa away. I asked her why he took it and she said that he told her that she did not need it and to go back to Mexico. So I got my cell phone and called one of my attorneys in Houston and she is going to file a law suite against the City of Houston.
I agree with you whole heartedly that that young woman should SUE THE SH-- out of the City of Houston, if what you state is true and accurate. The Officer should also be discharged from the force, if what you state is true and accurate.
What he did is NOT (I firmly believe) the NORM in dealing with Foreign Nationals, Legal or Illegal.
My question at this point is this: Since VISAS are an integral part of one's passport, how did he take the subjects VISA without also confiscating her passport? He is not allowed to do so without taking the subject into custody, thereby eliminating any possibility of your having interrogted the subject as you state.Your statement leaves me with a few unanswered questions about the accuracy and veracity of your stratement.
Explain please. You have created a cunundrum in logic for me.

The law will take effect July 29 unless legal challenges are successful. Almost twice as many people support it as those who oppose it, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll this month. It found that 42 percent favored it, 24 percent opposed it and another 29 percent said they were neutral.
Yet in a Rose Garden appearance with Calderon, Obama called the Arizona law "a misdirected expression of frustration." He expects to announce soon what action his government may take about it, once the Justice Department finishes reviewing whether the law violates civil rights.
and citizenship issues all at once — the kind of effort that collapsed in Congress just three years ago.
The president's stand underscored the forces working against him in this election year: the need for help from Republican critics, the impatience of states like Arizona after federal inaction, the pressure to show movement on a campaign promise, and the mood of the public disgusted by porous borders.
Law will take effect July 29
The Arizona law requires police to question people about their immigration status if there's reason to suspect they're in the country illegally, and it makes it a state crime to be in the U.S. illegally. People may be questioned about their status if they've been stopped by police who are in the process of enforcing another law.

I don't question the right for the US to verify as much info as needed before allowing a person entry, especially permanent residence into the US, my point was, which you seem to somehow overlook, is why does the US take so long to process permanent visas for non-European countries?
Look, a the husband/wife thing is different, and that gets a higher priority, but anything else is simply ridiculous. A US Citizen whether born or naturalized that petitions a Dominican brother/sister, would have to wait 15 years or so for the process to be completed and have the person in US soil. If that same person was a brother/sister in Poland, it would only take 5 years. By the way, Poles, especially in the Chicago are probably deported as much as Dominicans in NYC. So where is your argument. By the way, I know this Polish couple whose spouse was deported back to Poland for visa irregularities.. within 2yrs, the spouse was in the US again. If this happened to a Dominican, it would take 10

This does not include all of the countries, but the countires/regions that requests the most petitions. Check out how Mexico's petitions date back to 1992 (18 Years!!!!, yes those petitioned then are probably in the US already with all that waiting). Check out how worker visas are "U"navailable for Mexicans, including skilled Workers.
As for the 15 years and 5 years numbers I used to compare Dominican vs Polish time frames? They are real-life experiences I know from personal friends, including the Employment based one I mentioned.
Look, I have historically agreed with you in many other things, but on this one, I am sorry, the US just takes too long to process Visas for certain countries, which causes desperation and the illegal rush.
Making someone wait 10 years to re-unite them with their family should be a crime (yes, they visit him in Mexico once a year or so, but c'mon, its not the same)
Like I mentioned before, US Citizens with no ties to a generation of immigrants just DON'T F&%KING UNDERSTAND because you simply have NO ONE in your blodline going through this.
Cont'd
FURTHER Cont'd below
In addition, lovingit, I again cannot support ANY FORM OF RATIONALIZATION ON THE PART OF ANYONE who advocates alternative illegal methods of entering my country.
Sorry, pal, but your arguments hold not a single drop of water since they are predicated on emotionalism and not on either inductive nor deductive logic which would/could circumvent usage of the appropriate LEGAL and accepted methods.
You need to scrutinize THOSE cases as the NORM and NOT select ones which arae not the norm in your arguments. Otherwise you will be viewed as a disgruntled whiner with no portfolio.
I leave you to your own cogitations regarding what I have written.
TexasBill
ALL TAKE CARE and GOD BLESS.

Cont'd
TexasBill
TB
It just ain't right, no ,matter what color or size brush you use to paint it.

WARNING: theres a real sinister, radical, Socialistic, revolutionary, 1960's type mentality behind these protests......I ask look at the history of La Raza, MALDA and the "brownberets" just hit brownbarets on the internet, I'm sure Castro, Chavez and many are tickle pink about now.
Riosm,
I am with you 100 % on last comment.
MJEV.
I am of the opinion that WE BOTH have grossly misunderstood each other's verbal thrust regarding Illegal Immigration, and for my part I sincerely apologize to you for
"sounding off" in the manner I have.
And I DID misunderstand. I have no excuse for such and hope you will understand my "knee jerk" responses.

Don't those Latino American born protestors realize their only hurting themselves, GOD forbide what's it gonna take ?
it looks like under the first amendment he was protected. I want to know exactly what he said that got him arrested.
EVER NOTICE.....these have been the biggest immigration protest in U.S history where for the first time 95% of the flags people waved were AMERICAN FLAGS, ever wonder why ?
