San Juan.– A top lawmaker in Puerto Rico pledges that authorities will capture a fugitive who once escaped from an island prison and is now allegedly a drug kingpin in Dominican Republic.

Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz says Jose Figueroa Agosto will be caught through the joint efforts of U.S., Puerto Rican and Dominican authorities. The fugitive, also known as "Junior Capsula," has been at large since his 1999 jailbreak. Last fall he narrowly escaped a raid on a luxury apartment in Santo Domingo that netted a trove of evidence against him.

Rivera said cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking was discussed at a meeting Friday with Puerto Rico's governor and the top Dominican law enforcement officials.

quite a remarkable story when only a few months ago , it was stated that Figueroa was reported to be freely walking around a shopping mall in Puerto Rico with his girlfriend and nothing happened ...and even more remarkable when the Dominican spokesman has stated that Figueroa is still in the DR.
Now this story has a sideline about his apartment when two government officials not directly connected with the police raid were so concerned about possible evidence in the apartment that they rushed there to take or destroy documents, were briefly arrested and questioned and , of course , no one has heard more about any evidence in the apartment except during a press conference when the police chief simply chatted about the sexual appetite of Figueroa .
In fact , no one knows where he is and I am sure most hope that he is dead and unable to say who gave him all the assistance in the police, the army and government offices.

Big deal about who is withe or black or mulato, the main Idea is that The Dominican police is train to make Junior's capsula guilty of a bunch stuff that he hasn't committed. Agosto is not Guilty of all that bunch of SHT. we better star looking for Politicians.

Rivera-Schatz, is a political thug who's #1 Senate buddy was just (TODAY) arrested by the FBI for accepting bribes from companies to endorse and submit legislation. RIVERA-SCHATZ comment on the arrest was, that the FBI and JUSTICE DEPT can make mistakes.
That is a great endorsement of the Justice system which seeks to arrest FIGUEROA-AGOSTO. If not for the FEDERAL authorities, PR would have as much corruption as DR. Now they just have similar governmental ineptness. DR having the advantage in that if you grease (pay) an official you can cut the red tape.
