Miami.– A forecast map shows that a storm could reach the area of the Gulf of Mexico around the massive oil spill by sometime on Sunday.

The strong winds have already caused flooding in Puerto Rico, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. US National Incident Commander Admiral Thad Allen said evacuating ahead of the storm could delay completion of relief wells by up to 14 days.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection said it was removing nearly 316,261 feet of state-deployed boom before the storm hit.

Officials are now also closely monitoring an area of disturbed weather and putting together a response team.

Tropical Storm Bonnie is only strong 30 mph. That would be only a strong rain, nothing else.

AND THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...NEAR ZERO...OF THIS
SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
