Moscow.– Dominican champ Marcos Diaz became the first person in the world to swim
across the straits that connect the five continents. The record was
established during the international UN project "Swim Across the
Continents."
In May, 35-year-old Diaz swam from Papua, New Guinea to Indonesia and later to Thailand. Next, in less than five hours he swam from Jordan to the Egyptian coast, connecting Asia and Africa. In July, the Dominican crossed the Strait of Gibraltar and reached Europe. Now he has completed his voyage, having conquered the Bering Strait.
According to Diaz, this stage was the hardest for him. "I am still very worried about walruses, of which there were countless numbers constantly circling me. I had to swim close to the boat that was accompanying me." Diaz said. "His record belongs to all mankind," he added.
The water temperature in the strait was not higher than 3 degrees Celsius.

Marcos, awesome feat!
Against who, has he competed?
