NEW YORK.- Residents Upper Manhattan’s Inwood sector attacked the bus used by the campaigns of the Dominicans Adriano Espaillat and Guillermo Linares, who seek the 31st District Democratic candidacies for State Senate and the Assembly of the 72nd Demarcation, as a result of their high rejection rate, especially the latter’s.
The Website DNAinfo.com, which specializes in news of Upper Manhattan, yesterday reported that the aggression occurred in the Broadway and Isham Street intersection, where one of the attackers hurled dog manure, cut the wires of the bus’ loudspeakers and threatened to beat the driver if he returned to the area.
The Website said attacker claimed that the volume of the bus was too high and bothered residents of the neighborhoods, and that Linares campaign manager Laura Acosta confirmed the aggression
A witness, Taina Montalvo said she saw two men approach the bus without anybody inside and cut the cables, while two others who said they worked for Linares’ campaign said they tried to confront the aggressor.
“The community’s anger increase by the day from the raucous noise that bus makes,” said the resident Raquel Figueroa.
Linares’ promoters and those who reject his campaign staged a heated discussion that almost got physical.

Domincans are a lawless and corrupt nation. Why would anyone beleive just because they are in the US that they are honarble people.
I personaly beleive the bus was noisey and was justifiably curtailed by the citizens.

Hey people live, and sleep here you morons, I would cut the wire, then burn the truck in flame. Those stupid don't have respect for those people that work at night. Fu****k you stupid politics, You're are not in DR selling Platano with your loud ass speaker, Have some respect, and if you don't like it, Get the fu**k out. go home.

You only have to see the story of the Dominican tourists in Buenos Aires yesterday to know that even away from home or as a guest of a foreign nation, some Dominicans just don't change......
From: United States
Dominicans think the rest of the world works like it does at home and it doesn't. Those loud speakers and trucks yelling all day aren't tolerated by everyone and some people will do something about it.

good for them, i feel like doing the same here when these trucks come every 5 minuets selling platanos, buying metal, campaigning or the grocery motor bikes pass without a muffler.
when is the government going to put order here. i know they have to make a living but there are other ways to promote and sell without giving us a headache
From: United States
Hahahaha!
It's NuevaYol not Santo Domingo! They only yell STFU!! at you one time and then it's on when you don't.
This is not news
From: United States
Common people! It's part of the folklore.
I really miss to see one of those.
I don't know what happens there, but I am sure NYPD don't play to fine them if the speakers were too loud.
They simply don't have the millions of Pallin and Mc Cain of GPO to run a nationwide political debate on the media.
They are doing a campaign to collect votes between their people.
Or do you think that small fish can not do any campaign at all?

From: United States
I would rather to be living in Washington Height and see that for 2 seconds, that watch an interruption of 3 minutes with TV commercials in the middle of my favorite TV show or sport game for a unknown republican candidate...
That would really drive me nuts.

I feel like the police should handle a situation like this. As far as those citizens taking it upon themselves to cut the wires on the truck and threatening to beat the driver if he returned is ridiculous. I would of kicked that guys ass for touching my truck. If there was anything illegal about what the man was doing then call the police. Throwing dog shit at me, I would of knocked those guys teeth out then have them eat that manure like if they were old people without teeth at a nursing home eating mashed potatoes.
I think this had more to do with racism then noise pollution. If that fire truck said BLOOMBERG on it, I bet it would of been handled with a more formal complaint then an act of violence. Sad to see that so many fellow Dominicans see past that and are quick to take the other side instead of supporting a non-violent approach to a fellow countryman. Its disturbing how much hate you people have for Dominican politician both here nationally and abroad.

I am pretty sure that if Bloomberg would be hiring Madonna or Alex Rodriguez and they put them on the top of that truck like they did by the world series, nobody would be complaining, even thought the speaker would be 100 times louder..
So, my best wishes to the party animals and their political campaign truck.Try to have a blast guys..

@ Danny00, Your a fucking idiot. The little sense that people thought you had on this site is being jeopardized every time you type what your thinking. And do yourself a favor and stop thinking out loud when your typing. you could of easily gone back and erased it before you posted it if you thought you were wasting your time replying you DUNCE!!! Your the one that needs to go back to Puerto Plata and sell QUIPES on the malecon that your grandma spent all morning frying in her dirty ass cooking oil that she recycles and changes monthly. With your watered down ketchup and hot sauce...LoL
All I was trying to prove is that in the US you call the police to deal with people like that. Not to take it upon yourself {with a caveman like instinct (like DANNY THE DICK over there)} and turn it into a violent situation that could of occurred if that driver retaliated. In this country, tu llama la policia cuando ocurre una situacion asi. No matarse a la pedra como en los barrios de POP mariconaso

Exactly ZOE,
Whatever it takes to win the spot on the senate. I'm also all for new faces (colored preferably) on the senate and state assembly. Even if they are corrupt, i rather see a Hispanic getting a piece of the pie instead of watching these other politicians get rich and never get caught for over a century. All i'm saying is that if that driver were a white man campaigning for a white candidate, it would of gone down totally different and THAT'S THE TRUTH.
I'm actually AMERICAN, well 2nd GENERATION Dominican-American. My Grandmother came here in the 30's when she was only 6 years old. So you would think i would be on the oppositions side, but i'm not. Its no different then a guy in a SUV flying by with a sound system and bass that i swear can make the Manhattan BEDROCK crack let alone the street pavement. I see and hear those SUV's all the time, at least campaigning is doing something positive for the Hispanic community. I rather support that then LOUD HIP-HOP music any
