According to David Jessop, "EU changing its development strategy", Haiti will be one of the few states that will continue to receive the traditional grants and government assistance from the European Union. All the rest of the Caribbean and regional players are being switched over to more market driven and Neo-Liberal schemes.

Let's hope they do right for their people and the state of Haiti.

@Trujillo,
You are blind if you can see that everything that happened in Haiti affects the DR in one way or another positive or negative. The better the Haitians people do economically the less illegal will cross the border and that’s a fact. The only reason they risk their lives by crossing is to look for a better life, just like we do. We risk our lives by swimming across el Canal de la Mona to Puerco Rico looking for better life.
