Well Australia has all of the above and Haiti has none! You see it takes work and intelligence to discover minerals, then to mine and process them. Haitians have neither so they produce nothing. As far as flora is concerned, Haitians have destroyed most of theirs. Fauna (not including rats, mice and other vermin) Haiti has virtually none. Australia has more native animal species than Haiti has toilets. Preservation of the environment takes common sense. Totally uncommon in some countries.

I think everyone on this site (including Dominicans) wish the best for Haiti, with a speedy and sustained recovery. Some are understandably skeptical. In my view, The Dominican Republic has been very good to Haiti, despite being barely able to afford to look after itself.

If you are doing some good things for your country then we are keen to hear about them. But maybe leave the spin to your government?
