Rome.– At least three people are dead and dozens of people are still missing after the Costa Concordia cruise ship ran aground off Italy on Friday night, according to press reports.
The search is still on for the missing passengers after rescue teams spent the night evacuating the ship that was holding more than 4,000 people when it hit a sandbar and started to tilt.
The ship ran aground off the small island of Giglio, which is near the coast of Tuscany. The ship was still on its side as rescuers searched for survivors.
There have been conflicting reports about the number of dead and missing. Multiple reports say three people are dead after initial reports said six people died in what some passengers have been describing as a “Titanic” like event.

They're preparing the next "crash site" here in Maimon.
The action of the Captain and Crew was much worse than what is being reported. I am impressed that the Dominican consulate in Rome provided letters of transit and support for my wife's cousin and family so quickly.
