New York.– A suspected serial killer who slashed his girlfriend to death19 years ago was extradited from the Dominican Republic to face second-degree murder charges in the Bronx, the US police said Friday.
Angel Guridy-Cabral, 51, a former livery cab driver, is charged with fatally stabbing Altagracia Valdez, 24, in the neck and chest March 16, 1993, with a knife police believe he took from the kitchen.
Valdez was found on the living room floor of a Gerard St. apartment, with her 2-year-old boy sitting beside her unharmed. Guridy-Cabral became a suspect in 1999, cops said. In 2008, he was linked to DNA found on the victim’s body. After further investigation, he was indicted in 2010.
