New York.– Dominican Freddie Gonzalez was sentenced Friday to four life terms in federal prison without parole, 22 years after he shot and killed a married couple in their Yonkers home before killing two other people in the Bronx and Queens.
Freddie Gonzalez, aka Tony El Turbo, was found guilty in January 2012, after a two-week jury trial, of committing, and aiding and abetting the commission of four murders while engaged in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Specifically, he was convicted for his participation in the 1990 murders of Carmelo and Marisol Gonzalez (no relation to the accused), Clement Bedword, and Carlos Polanco.
Authorities have said Gonzalez, 44, was a major cocaine dealer at the time of the murders, and he killed one of his victims, Carmelo Gonzalez, 27, of Yonkers, because he thought he was a rival drug dealer.
