Port-au-Prince.– Haitian police said they seized 453.8 kg of cocaine and 1.59 tons of marihuana Friday during an operation in the country's east.

The operation was carried out by anti-drug police officers in Ganthier city, 27 km east of Port-au-Prince and near the border with the Dominican Republic.

According to the report, 185 people were arrested. Among them, 45 people are related to cocaine and 140 to marihuana.

Haitian police seized 300 kg of cocaine last February in a home in Croix de Bouquets, 13 km northeast of Port-au-Prince, and arrested a Colombian and a Haitian.

How is it that each and every story somehow finds a way to promote some from of racial commentary from the DT reader here? I'd have thought that people who scream "racism", would be the best at keeping out of their vernacular.

Not being even a casual user I have not got a good handle on 'Street price" has it jumped because of a supply shortage and a steady demand. I think not but who knows?

josean and the crew will close their eyes to this news. as always.

other guy who spends his time and comments about mr. josean,
if u worry about the dr then why dont u and others put your thoughts into the problems in the dr?
listen not many in this world that does not know the dr is one drug haven,
until education comes to the young in the dr their will always be fraud, drug trade, and the list goes on.
nice to have the choo choo train and blue mall, but more nice to have education for the young and luz for the dominicans that spend half their lives living in the dark,
would also be nice to have a real police dept. without this u can never have a real country.
{the police u have today in the dr "bring their own crime wave to the honest people of the dr] people need to live behind bars in their homes and apts, like they are in a jail u have it backwards its the bad guys that should be behind the bars..

Electricity and Lightbulb - History

Thomas Edison's greatest challenge was the development of a practical incandescent, electric light. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't "invent" the lightbulb, but rather he improved upon a 50-year-old idea. In 1879, using lower current electricity, a small carbonized filament, and an improved vacuum inside the globe, he was able to produce a reliable, long-lasting source of light. The idea of electric lighting was not new, and a number of people had worked on, and even developed forms of electric lighting.
HE TOOK PEOPLE OUT FROM THE DARK
WELL FOR MOST NOT THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WHICH MANY SPEND 1/2 THEIR LIVES LIVING IN THE DARK
THE YEAR 1879, ITS NOW 2012 AND COMING UP ON THE YEAR 2013 BUT STILL PRES COME AND GO AND STILL NOT 24/7 LUZ AND NO EDUCATION, BUT WE HAVE THE CHOO CHOO TRAIN AND THE BLUE MALL.

HAITI4EVER,my child, when people say "jungle in haiti" they don't actually mean jungle as in forest.
They mean jungle as in an wild lawless place where people behave like primitive beings, like enslaving their kids as restaveks for example.

Drug trafficking has been an ongoing business in our haitian territory for a long time.
because of the lack of government, education, economy and infrastructure, haiti does not possess the meanings to monitor our "JUNGLE".

But now, with the US drones flying over our wasteland,it'll be harder to keep our trafficking operations running unnoticed.

We're doomed.
Andresol most be happy.
