New York.– The FBI opened an inquiry into New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez on August 1, 2012, focusing on repeated trips he took to the Dominican Republic with longtime campaign contributor and Miami eye doctor Salomon Melgen, according to documents published online this week.
The documents revealed by The Daily Caller indicate Menendez purchased the service of Dominican prostitutes at a series of alcohol-fueled sex parties.
According to the documents, obtained from an anonymous source, Carrie Levine, research director at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), was alerted on April 9, 2012 to Menendez’s habit of paying for sex while outside the United States.

I am surprised that DT, and editor Jorge Pineda publishes that article based on hear say and speculations.
Menendez a Democrat, a member of Democratic majority of the US Senate is under a FBI probe. The Senate Select Committee on Ethics is aware of the probe. Rules require the FBI to notifiy. I doubt this investigatigation is part of a smear campaign as there has to be reasonable amount of evidence for the FBI to open a probe. If this were part of an organized smear campaign most certainly one of the Republican members of the ethics committee would have leaked out the information and all the talking mouths in the visual and audio media would be having a field day pointing fingers.
That has nothing to do with it. I met Bill Clinton and he is also one hell of a nice guy. What you can believe is that we are humans who have needs.The accusation is besides the point, true or not, it is his own personal matter and what he does behind close doors is his business. This did not happen inside the white house under the desk on company time. And if the allegation is true, it was in a foreign land under a different jurisdiction, on vacation while enjoying leisure time. We should leave the guy alone please...
I do not condone improper conduct or behavior but I believe in the freedom of will and choice to do do what ever you want, when ever you want as long as you are not infringing on the rights of others and not commtting a crime. If I understand correctly soliciting a prostitutes in the DR is not considered an offense. Like it was in the military, "dont ask, dont tell." Look the other way
Sen Menendez is a scum suck pig like all New Jersey Politicians. His arrogance in violating congressional and Federal election rules is legendary.
He only gets a pass because he is a Liberal Democrat and so the press never reports on his ethic violations, The investigation only came to light due to citizen journalism. And yet it took days for a few of the major outlets to report it.....buried of course.
Even DT took it's sweet time considering I first posted this story in the forum almost 2 days ago...
