Miami.– A Dominican man who has been in the United States illegally and recently pleaded guilty to two felony drug charges was sentenced to state prison in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, lewistownsentinel.com reported.
According to the website, Eddy A. Santana, 42, was sentenced to serve five to 10 years in a state correctional facility and may be eligible for early release, at which time it's expected he will be deported back the Dominican Republic.
The estimated street value of the large quantity of heroin and cocaine seized was between US$100,000 and US$175,000. Police also seized several fake identification cards and over US$8,000, the paper reported.
Santana, who has a lengthy criminal history, had spent 10 years and five months in Maine on a federal case.
