Miami.– Erin has weakened and has been downgraded to a tropical depression, the U.S. National Weather Service reported late Friday morning.
According to the latest forecast, the
storm's maximum sustained winds are around 35
mph with little change in strength forecast over the next two days.
The depression remains west of the Cape Verde Islands and is moving west-northwest near 15 mph. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says that general motion is expected to continue with a gradual turn to the northwest over the next few days.
